I have a MTH railKing K4s Pacific that is several yrars old and has been in storage for quite some time. It has a buzzing noise when the “smoke” switch is in the on position. The buzzing stops when the switch is turned off. Any ideas on what my problem may be?
id say the fan if it has fan driven smoke

I maybe wrong, but it seems you never heard, or noticed this sound before, also does the unit still smoke?
WithI my Lionel diesel when the sound of the diesel motor is turned off and the smoke unit is still on, a very low whirling sound can be herd from the smoke unit.
I hope your sound is, as catdoing posts, that of the smoke unit fan.
