I am painting a streamlined baggage car in the C&O roadname. I cannot find a decent C&O symbol anywhere on the net that i could print out for a decal. Does anyone know where one is?
Why not use commercial decals? The cost difference after buying decal paper/ink/your time canno be to bad! Here is some HO dcals that are available:
Champ Decals
Passenger, standard heavyweight car, dulux gold lettering. Order PH-17 for HO Scale
Passenger, The George Washington letterboard and car names in dulux gold for heavyweight car. Order PH-159 for HO Scale
Passenger, Pullman car names in blue script lettering, streamline car. Order PH-125 for HO Scale
Passenger, blue streamline lettering for stainless steel car. Order PH-78 for HO Scale
And IIRC, there are streamlined ‘script’ lettering available with the help of the C&O Historical Group.

www.cohs.org is the Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Society. In the upper left is a logo. As with any little graphic like this, you can right-click on the graphic and then save it to your local computer. I’m sure this site has lots of stuff like this you might find useful. This particular one is a GIF file you could edit down.
Thanks guys! I think i might buy the decals for this one after all. Here is a pic of it…
I know it needs to be touched up in places but you get the idea
So, is that going to be #60 or #61? The C&O only had two streamlined baggage cars, and the one you’ve painted looks fairly close.
I am not sure yet
