I finally received more information on the Chicago South Shore & South Bend (N.I.C.T.D.) New double Deck # 300 cars.
The cars are 85 feet long and weight 72 1/2 tons. They seat 111 people. All 14 cars have arrived. They run in married pairs. Unlike the older cars they have only one control cab. They are presently running on Train 116 West bound at 10:38 and returning on Train 109 East bound. They are doing test runs and train make up is different cars. N.I.C.T.D. is make a schedule change and then the cars may be fixed schedule.
Corrected info. single level cars are 50+ tons.
