Cabin removal - Athearn RTR SW1000

With such large windows but no crew inside! Can anyone tell me how to remove the cabin from the body shell. Where to apply pressure or what-ever in order to seperate the two.

It’s not too bad. This is a Genesis MP15AC, but the SW1000 should be similar. Gently pull the rear handrails out from the cab. With the body off the frame, push on the tab on the front of the cab. Should come loose.

While you have it apart, paint the emergency brake valve red. Paint the control stand, usually black, or whatever color you need it to be.

My problem is that I model D&RGW, just about everything is black and therefore hard to see things like tabs in dark corners etc. Tongue to side of mouth and the two tabs at end of body easy to see NOW, but the last tab at other end of cabin - didn’t see it of some time. Those photos of yours will be help to me also.
