Looks like BNSF still has former BN cabless SD40-2B 7198 in service as a remote control equipped loco. Formally BNSF 7501, it was renumbered when ES44DCs hit the roster. BN rebuilt a handful of SD40-2s and GP38’s into B units after becoming wrecked.

very cool…it seems strange to see 6-axle B-units like this…especially in such new paint…
interesting thought while on this…have there been any cases of larger, newer units (SD70’s, Dash 8/9’s, etc.) being converted to B units?
Somewhat strange that they did not move the dynamic brakes forward in this instance.
