Check this hand made caboose.[{(-_-)}]
Looks like one of those Missouri Pacific transfer cabs.
Definitely a transfer caboose. Ugly as it may be to purist railfans, it was built for a purpose and undoubtedly served it’s purpose well. Not much different from the “shoving platforms” that are being built out of former road cabeese. I don’t think the crew can even get in out of the weather on those.
Heck, I think it’s cool. I may have to model one of those.

I think this caboose is one the most popular to model and use on model railroad. Its one my favorites. Does anyone have a favorite design or color?[#welcome]
As far as transfer cabooses go, I think this one is pretty neat. It was constructed on the frame of an Alco or Baldwin switcher of some sort (note the trucks).

I think a nice transfer caboose it will give their appearance…I think it needs an overhaul.[swg]

take a look at this one…[alien]
Not a transfer caboose. It is, however, an unusual extended vision caboose in that the cupola is offset. Normally they were centered.
