I present to you this quest, for any that are so inclined - I want to tack a 16-inch x 14-foot switching and yard section onto my 6x16 layout. I’d like the “bottom” to end in a 2-track car float dock, and perhaps have the top have an engine facility/turntable. About 3 feet down from the top, there needs to be a connection (heading northeast, or toward 2 o’clock if we assume the top of this addition is north) to the main, but other than that, it’s wide open. Hoping for plenty of spur and industry action with some nice yard storage. Anyone up to the challenge? My scribblings on the backs of paper napkins have produced nothign of note, so I’m hoping some of you guys will have a flash or two of inspiration! If you take the time to work on it, I’ll promise to post pix as it gets built.
