This is the Cajon Pass summit about 4,600’ feet up & if
you watch carefully you will see the BNSF train
gradually picking up speed as more & more of the train
crosses from uphill to downhill. The entire Cajon Pass
is scenic & I rate this area a 9 on a scale of 10.
Also they have begun the triple tracking of the entire
pass because they expects train volumes to hit the
150/200 per day mark in just a few short years. Hope
you enjoy this one & would again appreciate your
comments.
…Yes, the train on the far track really did pick up speed. Must have really been windy up there that day as it was giving your mic. a hard time, but picture sure is interesting.
Thank you for your comments. They are greatly appreciated. Everytime I have been there I would say that it is breezy which in the summertime in the near desert is not such a bad thing. Once it was so bad up there that I could not use a tripod because it would have been blown over that day as the gusts I would guess were 25 or more MPH [:)]
Never been on a roller coaster, I take it. Simple laws of physics at work here (also see: “gravity”). [:P]
Yep I do understand that gravity thingy [:)]
