That “Track Watch” guard sounds like a dream job for a railfan. Watch trains all day and just call someone else if there’s a problem.
The suicide cluster has been a big problem. A friend’s wife works for the P.A. school system, she said that after the crossing was guarded from 3am, someone decided to wait to 3:30am or so to commit suicide. The gates are now guarded 24 hours per day.
Sad
Perfect-so they’ll know afterwards what the face used to look like and how long their middle finger is.
@Bill Neurath: And we’ll also know how long their middle finger is up.
About two weeks ago, I was watching a dumb f…k went around down crossing gates, with lights flashing and bells ringing. I thought that he/she was going to be crushed, but made it through. I’m sorry that I didn’t think fast enough to write down that dummy’s license plate and call the police.
