Are the rats leaving the sinking ship?
@Bill…no, the Republicans are still in the House and Senate.
What happens with everything in this world as time passes? Remember what milk cost in 2008? For those of you who do, it was roughly $1.50 for a gallon. Now it is almost $2!
That is correct, prices go up which is why it is so imperative to stop talking about it and do it before the price tag is 120 billion dollars!
Gotta love bureaucracy!
Darn! Milk is $4.00 per gallon in Montana! Methinks the rat is getting out just-in-time and you don’t have kids, Logan.
I agree…prices go up even if we do nothing…do it…
Did we argue about the “cost” of the Interstate System/ Probably did, but the Republican President won, and we did it…I was 11 years old at the time and wasn’t really into politics.
@Bill: Yes.
@Carlton: Thanks for clarifying “the Republicans” caused CHSR costs to rise 145% above what was sold to voters, and for California’s own auditor and independent peer review group to repeatedly rip it for mismanagement, lack of financial planning, and unrealistic ridership projections.

yes, I suspect that the rats are getting out now. the big question is ‘how much was their weekly paycheck?’ and ‘how much is their golden parachute?’. my guess is they have done very well financially, with little to show for it.
I repeat my years ago statement: I am against the CHSR project because it is an outrageously expensive project that enriches the top heavy bureaucrat administration at the top.
California’s high speed rail project is doomed because of too much political posturing. Time to focus on improving what they already have. If they truly would have wanted to make this program successful, they should have closed the gap between Bakersfield and Los Angeles first.
