In the interest of taxpayers why not go with the best bid at the most reasonable price whoever it might be?
Procuring equipment by government agencies has always been a damned if you did and damned if you didn’t situation. Taxpayers are bound to piss and moan if the agency didn’t go for the lowest bidder; trouble is, the lowest bidder almost always provide equipment and services that is of inferior quality. In order to correct the defective equipment and work, more money is spent to rectify the problems thus, spending money in the long run. Yes Clarence Jones, I can’t agree with you more.
I hope the company will be one that has experience with other high speed rail projects.
California needs more water for its farmers to produce more food to feed its state and the world to better the economy of the state before going forward with this cash draining rail line.
