California High Speed Rail

I’m glad I’m not the Director of the California High Speed Rail Authority. Shown below is a listing of the legal items they’ll review under closed session.

  1. Closed Session Pertaining to Litigation
The Authority will meet in closed session pursuant to Government Code section 11126(e)(2)(A) to confer with counsel with regard to the following litigation:
    · John Tos; Aaron Fukuda and County of Kings v. California High Speed Rail Authority; (Sacramento Superior Court Case No. 34-2011-00113919)

Note 5 case numbers almost in numerical order. Interesting HUMM. Wonder if thoses 5 are all filed by same firm ? Ambulance chasiing ?

Does California have an “Open Meetings Act”? If they do, some one will challange the closed sessions, even if in some instantses they may have been allowed unded such an act.

In our state (N.D.), you’re allowed to go into “executive” (closed) session when the subject is filed lawsuits to which you’re a party.
