This is a great, strategic “win-win” solution. More railroad leaders should study how this works.
A beautiful route worth saving!
Should have just tore up tracks, put in “rails to trails”, had State do eminent domain condemnation of entire redwood forest, cut and sold trees to pay to build a 6 lane “freeway” into the area. Solves all problems. What? I thought regardless of the question or problem the only solution was to cover the face of the earth with asphalt. Seriously, good to see folks working together.
Keep the train coming, as we are coming! Never have seen any redwood trees.
