Although I have no direct response, being from many miles away, I am getting warmed up to this topic in principle. I think it must offer a lot of potential to get many guys working together for part of the time and also building layouts again. It would be fun and developmental to get these items linked every month or so and run sessions with what ya brung.

Check out Midwest Modutrak… They have an HO rig that does some of what you’re looking to do, and I think some of the members are located in your area. They also have an outstanding N scale project underway that’s showcased in the current N Scale Railroading magazine.

There is a Wisconson group south of you and a Minnesota group too.
