Caltrain ridership up in 2013
Build more cars and provide the connections ie invest in it, and people will use the service. And that is what it is a service.
We rode it RT San Francisco-San Jose recently for the first time. It was a pure delight in every way. They check your tickets before you leave the station to board at the bigger stations so there’s none of that onboard. Scenery good, runs on time, a nice clientele, good rates, comfortable seats, no complaints. I’m glad it’s successful. Now if only an extension could run downtown SF to the BART line it could hardly be improved upon.
Wonder if it still has the party car…
What a turnaround after about 30 years ago when Southern Pacific was trying to ditch the service.
