Here’s my input: combine the Capitol Corridor and Pacific Surfliner into one train and rename it the Daylight. Of course, they wouldn’t be able to run from Los Angeles to San Francisco since the tracks from San Jose-San Francisco is owned and operated by Caltrain.
Or, they can electrify the whole line from San Diego to Vancouver and make a West Coast version of the NEC that I call the Northwest Corridor. They could send the AEM-7s to run it until another order of ACS-64s is complete.
