There are any number of videos relevant to the operations of these ‘wildcat’ operations, and so of the more recent rejuvenation of the Cambodian Rail System. Pretty interesting an inventive ways of using the abandoned Rail System…I think at one time it was over 600 Km?

Similarly, for Vietnam. The VN Rail net ( particularly in Danang and north was a wreck in 1969. The only recognizable diesel in Danang’s rail yard had more holes in it than a colander, and everything else was scrap.

Go on You Tube and see trains running at speed over Hai Van Pass, just nort of Danang area. Last trip I made over it took hours and was mined most of the way. The videos show a nice paved highway alongside the railroad, and totally different in the inter-veining forty-plus years. Thanks for the Trip Narig01! [:O]
