With the steam festival coming upon us in Michigan in late July, it occurs to me that we will probably have a few forum members in attendance. I have really enjoyed meeting several other forum members in person in the past. If anyone who is going to Michigan would like to get together for a cold drink while watching the festivities, I would be glad to buy the first round.

Great, and glad to hear it. I think it would be interesting if we could get a small group together.
I am not sure which day I will be there, but I plan on going for an entire day and overnight whatever day I do decided on.

If you haven’t gotten hotel accommodations yet, be prepared for a bit of a drive. I’ve heard that motels around Owosso and Durand are booked solid during the festival–you might have more luck around Lansing or Flint.
I’ll be at work during the festivities; If I’m lucky I’ll see the 4449 go through on its way there.

I’ll probably stay down around my old stomping grounds - it’ll be an hour’s drive to get to the event, but I probably won’t be competing with those attendees, and I have some friends I can get together with in the evening if I want.
