Can I put roller bearing journals on a Atlas S2/S4 switcher?

I am considering updating an Atlas S4 to modern times. Most surviving S4/S2’s in the real world have had their trucks modified from friction bearing (square ends) to roller bearing (round ends), like this one:

Has anybody successfully made such an update to an Atlas model?

Smoky Valley set #24 has the roller bearing pieces you want. Slice off or sand away the boxes for the solid bearings and apply the roller bearing castings.
