I live in the southern California desert and it is snowing outside. It’s 8 days before Christmas and I have a Polar Express and an MTH Sante Fe passenger set running under our Christmas tree. I went into my train room and pulled out my 736 Berkshire and set up a loop on the floor beside the Christmas tree. That Berk is so smooth and runs beautifully. I think I will build a fire in the fireplace.

YES… I just added a loop of American Flyer track around the loop with the 736 Berkshire. I have a 4-4-2 Atlantic set similar to the set I had as a youngin’ running on it with the American Flyer Choo-Choo sound.

Actually, even though I have a pretty good “empire”, I still get a big kick outta seeing a train running around a Christmas tree.
