I have got Hornby Elite DCC controller and BLI DC Master Analog Control Module ( BLI Stk#1011 ) . I have got DCC locos from Hornby , Bachmann , BLI . The CV29 value of BLI locos needed to be changed from “38” to “34” and can not be done by Elite DCC controller hence I use BLI DC Master Analog Control Module ( BLI Stk#1011 ) . Changing CV29 from “38” to “34” helps the BLI locos not to start of its own the moment the Hornby DCC is powered on . Can the same BLI DC Master Analog Control Module ( BLI Stk#1011 ) be used to program the MTH HO locos with Proto sound 3.0 ?

Can I put a MTH DCS Commander inbetween my Hornby Elite DCC and the tracks and use MTH DCS to program MTH locos whenever required and use it to control all the 28 functions of the MTH locos on the track system , along with Hornby , BLI , Rivarossi , Batchmann locos ( I have DCC fitted locos from these vendors ) .
Yes, but MTH locos only support a very few DCC CV’s. They do support CV29, but only to enable the extended address and normal direction of travel, I don’t believe there is any way to disable analog operation.
Sort of. I am not 100% certain about how the DC pass-through works, so somebody else may have additional information or corrections. MTH is not real clear about it in any of there on line documentation that I could find, so this is the best I can determine from what I have seen on line and read from other users. They way I understand it is you can hook up a DCS commander between your DCC system and track and it gives you the option of switching back and forth between the two systems. It does not, however, let you control a DCS locomotive using the Commander and a DCC locomotive at the same time. In DCC mode, the Commander simply acts as a pass-through for the DCC signal and you control your DCC and MTH locomotives using your DCC system. In DCS mode, the Commander uses the DCC system as a power supply and lets you control your MTH locomotives, but not you DCC locomotives, in fact, you may have to remove your DCC locomotives from the layout(I don’t know what they would do if you did not).
