Can this be right??

An ink jet decal paper that you don’t have to seal and they recommend lighter fluid for a decal set/softener.???[%-)]
Anybody try this and have any luck with it??
(paper dries white, but turns clear when sprayed with dull coat???)

Even if it works, the possibilty of fading over time makes me nervous, Krylon or not.

Paul

Don’t you dare do that while you are smoking!

NO DOUGHT![(-D]I’ve never heard of lighter fluid being recommended before.[:O]

You never “Fire” lighter fluid inside a home.

What does the people who came up with dat idea think… were idiots?! [banghead]

Lighter fluids belong near the charcoal grill and that is where it stays.

Lighter Fluid + anything exceeding flashpoint temp = fire. And alot of it.

Actually lighter fluid burns at a fairly low temperature and I have never heard of it flashing to an open heat source. Somebody needs to experiment with a decal and car they don’t care about to see if it works.

I’d be concerned that lighter fluid would take fresh paint completely off the model…chuck

Chuck-Yep!That’s what I’d be worried about. That, or melting the plastic.
I think they’re talking about the Rosonol fluid you use in a Zippo lighter. I may sacrifice an old Tyco P.O.S. just to see the effects.[:-,]
