Can this be used for anything ?

I have some white thinset left over from adding a tile backsplash to our kitchen countertops. Was wondering if it could be used for anything. Don’t want it to go to waste. If anybody has any ideas please just let me know, thanks alot everyone !!

Not familiar with the product.

I take it it is some sort of tile adhesive. If it is like a grout or plaster, it should be useable for the same projects they are. If it is more of an tacky adhesive, I would think you could use it to attach rock castings and the like.

If you are using any foam, be sure it is foam compatable before trying to use it on foam.

Good luck,

Richard

This rock face still needs to be painted. It is mostly made up of a $5.00 bag of Readymix cement with the big rocks sifted out, some tile thinset, some tile grout on a wire screen. I just slopped on what was left in the bucket after working on projects around the house.

Thinset can be mixed with scenery materials if you’re going to make up some “ground goop.”

For my home layout’s desert scenery I mixed several batches of ground goop that contained various products such as casting plaster, sifted dirt from my back yard, acrylic craft paint, gerbil bedding, redwood bark, mortar and some leftover colored tile grout and thinset mortar, with no two batches being the same ingredients.
