I bought two sets of these several years ago and am very happy with their performance and would like to get some more. However I have no clue where I purchased them online? Anyone have any sources? Ideas? Tks.

Ned tks for the info. Never thought to look in the Walthers Catalog. Unfortunately I only have the 2007 edition and I can’t find it. I looked in the Lighting-electrical-motor section. Is that the correct section? I found that item # in the online walthers site but does not show a pic. ALso found that item at rrtrains.com for 8.44 but again no pic. Don’t want to spend 40 bucks without seeing a pic. Again thanks for your help.

Walthers cat does not have a pic. Look under Trucks and Couplers. Do not know if Jay Bee has a web site. Jay Bee sells them to convert Athearn Trucks. They work for other makes.

Tks everyone for your help. Yep thats the ones Jeff. I found them for 8.44 at RRTrains so i will be ordering them tonight. DIdn’t really want to order without being sure it was what I wanted.
Just finished lighting a caboose and 60’ combine with the ckt in the latest MRR mag. I already had the pwr p/u’s so the total cost of putting lights in each was less than one dollar. I found everything I needed at Allelectronics.com. I used 2200uf caps rather than the tiny one the author used and I get about 4 seconds of light before it dims significantly. I just picked up the combine and walked into the kitchen and sat it on the table and the lights were still dim. I notice the loco’s headlight flicker a little as it runs down the track but the combine and caboose lights never flicker. Awesome! I was going to get the minitronics segmented light board with the mega cap in it for 23-25 dollars. Now for under a buck I have a flicker free light. I don’t get the four minute hang time theirs does but four seconds is a butt load of time in HO so unless you park on a frog or dead spot you are good to go. If I get a chance tomorrow I will post some pics. All I had was white leds so I went over them with a yellow highlighter and it looks much better than bright white.
Anyway thanks for all the help. Now that the proto-type is done I have some more cabeese and another combine to do.

I wonder how hard it would be to wire one of those into a loco so it doesn’t stall on turnouts and such.

Not sure how to wire up a cap for loco pwr. I know how/where to hook up a cap for most of the sound decoders that are out now but never thought much about a cap for a loco. Maybe as simple as wiring a big ole cap in parallell with the motor would do it? Maybe someone more knowledgeable can provide some info.

Wiring a big cap in parallel will work but the “big” cap would be larger then the Loco to do any good.
It would make a nice gondola load. lol
