Too many cars to count. as you can see I model the D&H, I try to keep it dated in the 1977 period when D&H recieved several locos from Conrail.

Why? Models don’t have names - unless you name them. Listing one’s models would be another matter, although pointless to me.

Sure.

Pacific, Mikado, Mountain, Consolidation, Mogul, Box car, Flat car, Tank car, Stock car, Depressed center flat car, Refrigerator car, Hopper, Covered hopper, Gondola, Caboose.

Andre

Nope to many…I gotta use index cards just to keep track of 'em…Not to mention updating my ledger book every time I buy a new model.
.

Thanks to my loving wife, all my train items are logged into a computer list by manufacturer and type, cars, locos. This list I carry to train shows so I do not buy duplicates unless they are a real good buy. I also keep a copy in the safe deposit box. Phil.

Too many.

I sometimes forget them when I dont see em long enough.

Locos, yes. Freight and passenger cars, only rough numbers. I could list them, but…

Motive power yes, rolling stock and passenger cars NO. Too many to remember with out refering to the computer listing.

But do you recall, the most famous bloody-nose Diesel of all? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Diesel

Rudolf Diesel the inventor had a very inventive brain
He even developed an engine that someday would power a train.
All the other Diesels used to laugh and call him names
They would never let poor Rudolf join in any Monopoly games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve during an FT test
Santa Fe called EMD and said, “Your Diesel’s best”
Now all the Diesels love him, because he made them filthy rich
Except for Rudolf’s ex-wife, but she’s a nasty gold-digging [censored]

No, I can’t name them all, but I keep a complete and up to date record of all my cars and engines, 30 engines and 149 cars.

Why in the world would I name all my rolling stock? Sure I could but you never see a way bill that tells you to deliver Fred and Barney the hoppers to the mine.

sure, no problem. There’s 28,29,30,39,48,78,and 79.

If it’s not DCC, it has no personality, therefore it shall remain nameless.
Greg

I have very few named locomotives. Never even thought of naming a freight car…

None of my other equipment has been named. It would take forever, and I don’t think I am that creative to come up with that many names. I suppose I could just get a baby book and start at the beginning.
