Thanks to my loving wife, all my train items are logged into a computer list by manufacturer and type, cars, locos. This list I carry to train shows so I do not buy duplicates unless they are a real good buy. I also keep a copy in the safe deposit box. Phil.
Rudolf Diesel the inventor had a very inventive brain
He even developed an engine that someday would power a train.
All the other Diesels used to laugh and call him names
They would never let poor Rudolf join in any Monopoly games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve during an FT test
Santa Fe called EMD and said, “Your Diesel’s best”
Now all the Diesels love him, because he made them filthy rich
Except for Rudolf’s ex-wife, but she’s a nasty gold-digging [censored]

Why in the world would I name all my rolling stock? Sure I could but you never see a way bill that tells you to deliver Fred and Barney the hoppers to the mine.
I have very few named locomotives. Never even thought of naming a freight car…

None of my other equipment has been named. It would take forever, and I don’t think I am that creative to come up with that many names. I suppose I could just get a baby book and start at the beginning.
