Looking for suggestions to control track power to a dead-end track turnout for parking engines.
Would like to do it without using an on/off switch. Is there a way to use the FasTrack remote switch (ie. 6-12057) to trip a relay (ie. Z-stuff 1008) to have the power on to the track only when the 6-12057 is switched to that track? (I would be powering the 6-12057 remote switch with accessory power)
If you could determine that one of the wires in the fastrack controller is energized when switch is thrown. If that were true you could tap into that wire to provide the positive to possibly throw said servo. I don’t know if thats true and or whether any additional load on any fastrack circuit might burn it out. If you take the back off a fastrack switch you will see why I say this. There is a significant amount of circuitry in there.
thanks eric,
I would like to say that I know enough about electronics to make me dangerous. But i would be lying… I know less then that.
I was thinking that the relay only requires continuity to trip the relay and complete no or nc circuit.
Was hoping this could be achieved with a connection from the fastrack switch or it’s remote.
thanks for your suggestion, i will try posting to your link.
