Canadian National to sponsor centennial tower for Transcona community, shops
This will be a great item for Transcona, and Canadian National as they have been connected for many years.Also a fitting memorial to the many current and former citizens who were employed in the CN shops.
Perhaps the railway should be approached about leaving a memorial for another railway town that is also celebrating it’s centennial this August Long-week, The Pas, Manitoba.
A 20’ tower would work. You could see all of Manitoba from there. Don’t over-do it! The Pas could get by with 15’, except when it would be covered by snow (most of the year).
