Hmmm…doesn’t ring a bell, I suspect it was a song that was popular only in Canada, eh?? I do have song “The Canadian” on an Eileen McGann CD, which also has the song “Another Train”. I think the CD is called “Choices”??
An internet search did come up with references to a Hank Snow song…
If you look on YouTube, you can find a version from Hank Snow, which i think is the original one.
Gordon Lightfoot sang the “Canadian Pacific Trilogy.” He also wrote and sang, “The Legend of the Edmund Fitzgerald.”
