Canvas Sunshades

Anyone of you have any ideas on making realistic canvas sunshades for early diesels. Thanks.

I’m not 100% sure of what they look like. Widely used in military modeling is painted single ply toilet paper or painted tissue paper this the best material to use to represent canvas.

I’ve done rolled-up ones using brass wire and some painted tissue (Kleenex).

And also extended or partially extended ones using brass wire and .003" brass shimstock.

I use painted paper. No reason it can’t be made to look like canvas.

I have seen some really nice ones made by using brass wire and tissue paper. I can possibly get you some pictures if you want some.
