Cape Code HO Plasticville

Hello, I’m a blogger working on a story about Plasticville’s HO Cape Cod model. I want to figure out the length and width of the model. I know RR Tracker exists, but I don’t have access to the software, or the ability to download it. (company computer)

Can someone please help?

Here is the model I’m referring to:

The Bachmann trains website has their own “Ask the Bach-man” forum, which has a forum specifically for Plasticville USA discussions. I suspect if you post your question there, someone (perhaps even the “Bach-man” himself) will have a ready answer for you.

Thanks jwstix, I called Bachman’s PR department. They couldn’t help me. It’s a good idea to try the forum.

Walthers, the big model railroad distributer, typically includes measurements of structure models in its description.

The Bachmann Cape Cod house is listed as 1 7/8 inches by 3 inches. Height is not provided.

I’ve got one of those on my layout, but it doesn’t have awnings on the windows or a patio on the side.

Funny.

I live on the cape and have never seen a cape such as this. Take away the porch and awnings and it looks like the shed in the backyard.

LOL

That’s because the Plasticville Series is very inexpensive and very generic. Bachmann does make a much more realistic and detailed set of structures called Cityscenes Building Kits but a Cape Cod home is not included in the series.
