They tried their best, but they just couldn’t get the loco’s close enough to get the jumper cables to reach from one loco to the other.

Hey! like the chessie loco I heard about. kept it runnin so long they took out the battery. didn’t find out until it atopped dead in the middle of a snowstorm.

I’ve told them Time and time again! both tracks have to be Level with the other!

Looks like the switch crew got lonely over the weekend and wanted the track and mechanical folks to spend some quality time with them[:-^][:-^][:-^]

If this had been a mainline operation, the switch might have been protected by a derail if the other track is not a passing siding. Beautiful illustration of “fouling” an adjacent track.

For those unfamiliar with oil bath filters, they were a pain in the yazoo, at least on 2-ton grain trucks, from my dad’s experience.
