Car found under Illinois coal train derailment
This is the latest in several years of wrecks in this particular locale. The line is built on a high fill. Subsidence?
Did they not have any ground level eyewitnesses to the derailment that might have seen the car get crushed by the train. I’m guessing that it wouldn’t have made a difference, but the initial reports said no injuries reported. So I don’t think they were even looking for anyone. Seems odd

According to the press, a second body has also been found in that car. The car was sent on a flatbed truck to the Medical Examiner’s office.
According to this mornings Tribune a second body was found in the wreckage.
Correcion…two bodies. A second person was found under some debris.
“Several years of wrecks” is over-stated.
