Car Markings and Classification Types

Hey all,

Can anyone tell me a good online source for information and a COMPLETE listing of car classification types for waybills and card systems? I was also looking for definitions for the major road symbols for cars like DODX, TTX, GATX, etc. Thanks so much!

If you need more info, check on lycos.com and look up: Railroad Reporting Marks , and you’ll get alot more and other info. There is also a book called “Freight Train Cars” from MBI Publishing, that explains about freight cars, markings and how the whole system works to an extent. It’s a great source, only about $15.00 too.
