Hi everyone,

I serching for information on modern railcars that car Carbon Black. What model companies offer this car? If not, any ideas on kitbashing? Any one know where there are pictures or roster data?

The Kaminski book on American Car & Foundry shows the normal ACF Center Flow in carbon black service. As of my 2003 Walthers catalog Athearn offered their Center Flow painted for United Carbon. Con Cor was offering their 40 ft Airslide in Firestone (black) lettering. I have seen photos of a cylindrical carbon black car from the 1960s. It could be possible to kitbash the Model Power cylindrical covered hopper perhaps. www.railshop.net offers an older style of carbon black car that I can recall seeing into the early 1970s at least.
