My favorite railroad is the original Carolina & North-Western that ran from Chester, SC to Edgemont, NC. I pretty much know the history of the railroad like the back of my hand, but one piece of the puzzle I can’t find is when the track was removed between Maiden, NC and Dallas (Gebo), NC.
Can anyone help me with this information?
Also, does anyone know what is going to happen to the Gastonia to Gebo section that was abandoned earlier this year?
