Carolina Southern sale held up by legislative delays
This line has had an amazingly difficult time since CSX quit it. It was the Atlantic & Briar Patch, then the Horry County, then the Waccamah Coast Line before becoming the Carolina Southern. Difficulties included the interminable delays of repairing the bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway into Myrtle Beach, and then the repairs of a LOT of trestles over the marshes in the area.
