cars

trying to get good looking HO scale cars for my layout is proving to be hard as there is not a great many diffrent types in australian shops.

Just wondering if people use Hotweels or Matchbox on there lay out and if they have do they look to big for the people???/

Hot wheels are too big for HO in my experience. They’re closer to O guage

I find that Hotwheels are way to big.Do you have access to mail order suppliers out there? ModelRailroader usually has a large selection. They discout prices and can usuall get me anythig I want. They usually key to Waltes’s Catalog numbers.mike1

The trouble with Hotwheels/Matchbox cars is that they’re too big for HO and too small for O or S gauge. A lot of the diecast semis intended to go with them are just perfect for HO, however. There actually is a train set made specifically to go with Hotwheels cars.

The cars that I like the best are:
RTR - Classic Metal Works - Excellent detail and paint at a reasonable price.
Kits - Jordan - Excelent variety of older (ancient) vehicles, but can be challenging.
Both lines are carried by walthers.
