Seeking corroboration: I believe the Cary shell fits the Athearn so-called SW-7 mechanism, NOT the Athearn SW1500 mechanism. Is that right?

This scan is about the best I can do. The scan before reduction is almost 5mb so I could e-mail it to you. The multiple imports from me to Photo Bucket and then to the forum dings the resolution.

I’ll second Larry’s post regarding the Athearn mechanism for the Cary SW1500 casting. We have one at our club, Mt Hood Model Engineers, and it has the Ernst gear set in it also plus NWSL N/S wheels. The puppy is a real tiger and will pull the wall paper offa the wall. Well, sorta…[C):-)] [;)]
