has anybody had experience/sucess with molding and re casing magnuson walls from the kit parts? in plaster or resin?

I haven’t molded/cast Magnesun walls in particular, (I have built a few), but I have cast some others. Make sure the back of the original (master) is completely flat so the molding compound can’t leak under it.
If it’s the old original casting which were cast with a polyester resin, (sticky to the touch), you would need to clean and degrease it, (wash the casting wiht Dawn), btw, it will still be sticky. Before pouring the mold, I would paint the master/mold with a coat of gloss paint to seal the stickiness in. Let that dry and then pour in the molding compound as usual.
If it’s a newer urathane casting (not sticky), you can skip the painting/sealing step.
