I’m trying to detail an F3 ABA CBQ set for the Cal Zephyr using Stewart HO units. The paint is done and I have added diaphragms. Now need to add Details West steam generators, but havn’t been able to find a picture taken from above that shows how they are positioned on the rear access roof cover.
Two drawings I have, one an F3, one an F7, show only the inlet manifold with its large tophat. But the DW kits have two other pieces. Wonder if they also appeared on 9960? The pictures I do have are side views that are too poor to be of any help.

Hello Hal, It so happens that my book, “The Model Railroader’s Guide to Passenger Equipment & Operations,” includes a high-angle Wally Abbey photo of the 9960-A and its two running mates with a CZ train at Chicago. The photo is on page 14. Unfortunately, the roofs of the units are pretty dirty, but it might be of some help.
