CIT Equipment Finance Corp bought the 3 EMD demo SD70M-2s back in 2006. I heard they got repainted, but I’ve yet to see any pictures. Where are these units running right now? Why did EMD sell the -2’s, but keep the ACe’s?

EMD also sold 3 out of 4 SD70ACe demos. EMDX 71 - 73 are now KCS 3997 - 3999. EMDX 71 has been painted into KCS’ new Retro-Belle paint scheme. Picture HERE

I might have seen one of them today in LaGrange. I was driving to the library where I railfan, and I see a BNSFSD60M, an OAK SD60, and what looked like either a C44AC or SD70M-2 CITX/CEFX.

Does anyone know the sale prices for the -2’s and ACe’s?

The CIT owned SD70M-2s are leased to BNSF right now, I believe. I saw one of them at the yard in Barstow last July.

I saw one here in Denver a while back.

CSX had one on the Fitzgerald sub. a while back.
