Central Valley switch kits -- MR Review

Maybe it is just my incredibly shrinking brain but after reading Tony Koester’s favorable review of the new Central Valley switch kits in MR I still do not exactly understand what it is the builder is expected to do, how the things go together, and some other basics. The fault is not Koester but with the space contraint and the fact that just one photo was shown.
I think this extremely interesting new product deserves an expanded feature (by Tony Koester by all means if he is willing) with more information and more photos. It is not just a new product but a new way of thinking about track kits and thus needs something a bit more than the usual review format. That is just my opinion.

I agree, it’s not very clear. More photos of actually installing/building one would help.

If you hit their website http://www.cvmw.com/cvt/index.htm , you’ll find they go pretty deep into how to assemble and install the turnouts as well as the track.

thanks Jay I never thought of their website
Still and all when I am sweating over something like this on the benchwork it is nice to have the MR magazine by my side – the computer is upstairs and far away.
