Helo Folks, I’m not a newbie I just lurk way more than I post I am also a terrible mechanic so I seek help often. I have a 6’ X 14’ under Christmas tree layout and last season the two rear screws holding on the drive rod on the right side of the locomotive worked their way off. I found one and Joe at Grzyboski’s was very kind to spend a great deal of time sourcing me the missing one. I have been running the locomotive as background noise on the outer loop while I set up the layout and out of curiosity I checked the two screws and sure enough they both were loose. I have two questions: 1) can I use Loctite or similar product on these screws to keep them in place? If so what color? 2) I have never seen any torque specifications for fasteners on model trains are there any for this application? Thanks for any help.
James
