Ceres Global Ag reaches agreement for cross-border rail connection

At that point in time the decision was probably justified -now a days with this fast moving world
the CRYSTAL BALL is very clouded.I have to side with the people who make those decisions…like my FATHER used to say " that is why they put sawdust around the spittoon"

Guess they should put sawdust around a commode, too.

Earl, Edmond and Randal,
my mind took a diverging route at Absurdity Jct,
reading quickly the 3 posts rapidly inspired…
Sawdust 'cause some Dimwit can’t find the spittoon or the commode…
“a map sure would be nice.”
Maybe a 20-second animation…maybe Dimwit using a GPS…

CN will now start to regret abandoning the Lewvan Sub (the line that connected Northgate to Regina), shortsighted abandonment occurs regularly on both sides of the border.

BNSF reportedly rebuilt this branch line in 2013. I hope they built it to serve more than one train at a time since they have a shuttle loading grain elevator in Northgate ND and I noticed on Google Earth that a new shuttle loader is going in at Noonan ND.
I’m wondering if BNSF is going to serve that facility that is on their rail but served by a short line and also the oil facility at Stampede ND. There is an oil loading facility at Berthold ND on this same line and it looks like something is going in east of Lignite ND that is oil related.

A map sure would be nice.

Yes!! A map would be nice!

At Northgate CN used to connect with BN. CN used to be called the People’s Railway because it provided service to Canada’s citizens. Apparently now that it is privatised, it can’t be bothered serving them. Sad.

A track plan and profile diagram would be of use to see what kind of train handling capacity will be provided.
