Charging Jacks

I am currently running 2 Aristo Eggliners, both with straight battery power (no R/C) from 8 AA NiMH cells. I have to take the batteries out to charge them, which means disassembling the units. My question is, where should I locate a charging jack in the circuit, and how much current should go through it to charge the batteries?

If units are new I would speak to the shop you purchased them from or talk to the manufactor. Failing that if you have wiring diagram any good electrition shold be able to help. Remember to fully charge batts each time as if not you will reduce the life of them. Charging batt any good batt charger should have the input on it so you can see how much currant to put in. DO NOT put more in as batt can split and that ca be costly

But where do I put the charging jack in the circuit?

Here’s George Scheyer’s page on his RC/battery install on the Aristo Center Cab. His schematic might help. http://www.girr.org/girr/tips/tips7/ccab_tips.html#batt

Not knowing how you have the batteries wired in now. I wouldn’t have any idea where to tell you to put them.

If you are also on the Aristo forum check with Pete Eggink (in Newark, DE) as he is battery power with a whole string of eggliners and loves to share the hobby!
