The Charlotte Blue Line is back in service after a demolition contractor dropped a silo full of gravel across the tracks during evening rush hour yesterday.
Surely that wasn’t LYNX’s fault! Did the demo contractor notify the LRT people in advance? Or is that something yet to be worked out?? -

Yes, Charlotte does use the honor system with spot checks.
The one way fare is $1.30. The fine if you get caught by a spot check is $50.00 Most people riding seem to be buying monthly passes. The fare machines at each station have just begun accepting credit and debit cards a couple of weeks ago.
