Charlotte streetcar faces possible setback

Another mass transit welfare project, paid for by we the taxpayers who will never use it. How about trying something radical? Require those who use it to pay for it.

37mil to start? Just buy them each an electric car! They would be able to go farther than 1.5 miles. What a joke.

Charlotte is a fantastic town. The addition of streetcars would make it an even better place to be. I am hoping those involved will see the light at the end of the tunnel and approve the funding. Give me another reason to visit Charlotte again.

The streetcar would be a scenic addition to Charlotte but not a practical one, one only has to the look at the number of empty buses that cover the same area daily. What magic spell will make people ride a streetcar

Good thing Guse didn’t read the article closely enough to pick up on the reference to an associated parking structure to be located on J[ohn] M[aynard] Keynes Drive. Can you imagine the flaming invective that would have elicited? Whew, dodged a bullet there, we did.

Hey, Jeffery! You mean to tell us that every roead and aviation project is used by every taxpayer in the US? That’s funny because I’ve always had this warpt idea that there were many taxpayer funded roads that I’d never use as well as air facilities I’d never use to! THANK god you’re here to remind me I’m guaranteed to get to use every road and aviation facility that I as a taxpayer have paid for! How blind the reast of us must’ve been all this time! Now we must all every word you spout out as proven fact!

Sounds like a promising project, extending to some good traffic generators. Hopefully, funding can be found soon to bring it to completions.

Charlotte needs another streetcar line, not another tollway to the speedway, which will be rarely used.
