where is it going?
August 3rd. Cheyenne to North Platte.
August 4th. North Platte to Fremont. Fremont to Mo valley. Mo valley to the Goldenspike Monument in Council Bluffs. She will be on display.
August 8,9,10th. She will be on display in Omaha at the DWHM. On the north side of the Amtrak station.
i can’t go then. too far from Wisconsin. maybe if he came around here, i’d go catch him in altoona
On Friday I’m going up to Blair to see them service it and then I’m heading to Golden Spike Park to watch it come in. I can’t wait!

They usually do,Especially since 844 has been out of commission for a few yrs…But if they dont,oh well…If anyone has seen a person with a large tv type camera(like newsmen use) thats probably Pentrex…I met one of their guys chasing 1522 a few years back…Danny[:)]
No she made a trip this spring to many states including TX, NM, OK, KS
No her first “official” trip after the rebuild was Cheyenne Frontier Days train to Denver last year when she was double-headed with 3985 (which managed to have bearing problems…so they replaced it with 6936). Of course before that she had a couple test runs out of Cheyenne (I think also to Denver).

On its recent tour through Kansas going north. We chased it from Coffeyville, Independence to Altoona, it was a lot of fun, and the first time for the wife to be involved in anytrhing like that. What a rush, but some folks took too many chances, no accidents that I know of, but it got to be a high speed rat race, and not a lot of fun.[C):-)] But for awhile it was a real rush![:D]
Well the 844 isn’t painted yellow, so it must be ok[}:)]

I would argue they need to go father east, Chicago needs some steam action. We don’t even have steam at the local musuem anymore.[:(]

Ya. She did. She went to Chicago. Way back in the later 90’s When it was known as the CNW400 special. She rode the CNW from Council Bluffs all the way to Chicago then back to Omaha.
Yes I know that. That was back in 96, 10 years ago, time to come back.
