A freind of mine gave me this chassis today knowing I could use it to make something out of it. The question I have is who made it?
Here are five pictures. Perhaps somebody knows what it was and can point me to a picture of it.
Note the two pulleys, one on each axle. This tells me they used a spring to drive the second axle. I’ve seen this before but can’t recall on what.
I have reason to believe it was made by Tenshodo due to the way the wheels are held on the axle. They use a knurled nut to secure the wheel on the axle. I have a pair of 3 axle trucks made by Tenshodo that has the same arangement.
I got the motor situation covered. It’ll get twin 6 volt gearhead motors.
A bit more information I forgot to post last time. Before I removed the paint the outline gave a suggestion of something similar to a center cab model such as the 44 tonner. The scale is HO standard gauge, length of frame 3 3/16" (~ 81mm), width 1 13/32" (~ 36mm). The handrails/stanchions are original. It looks like there was a vertical motor in it at one time.
