I found a new option for use like a ballasts.
is a oil ang grease absorbent.
the cost is 8 usd. and looks pretty good.

You know what that is? Oil absorption stuff is the same as cat litter!! But it will do great, just as aquarium stones.
You’ll however need more glue to fix the oilabsorption rocks to your layout, since the suck the glue…
Another great ballast suggestion. Thanks. Chicken scratch was suggested last week. Tough to find where I live, but I sure like the way it looks. I suggested using stone dust. I set up a strip of tubular track and ballasted it with stone dust and I liked the way it turned out. Someone suggested that the pebbles can appear to be too large. My suggestion is to place some in a zip lock bag and crush it down further with a hammer or rolling pin. It could also be screened. One of the great things about the hobby is finding things “outside the box” that work.
